This Privacy Policy explains how YummyFeed (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the YummyFeed mobile application (the “App”). By using YummyFeed, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

YummyFeed is a food discovery and recipe-sharing app that lets users browse a feed of dishes and recipes, post their own food content, save favourites, and discover places to eat nearby. The App is developed and operated by YummyFeed. For any privacy questions, contact us at fabtechsol7@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and improve our services:

• Account information. When you register or sign in, we collect your name, username, email address, phone number, and password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider. Restaurants and food businesses may additionally provide business details such as business name, logo, cover photo, and address.
• Profile information. Optional details you choose to add, such as your profile photo, bio, dietary preferences, and cuisine interests.
• Content you post. When you create a post or recipe, we collect the content you enter (dish name, description, ingredients, instructions, cooking time, tags, and location or restaurant you tag) along with the photos and videos you upload. We also collect your comments, ratings, reviews, likes, and saved items.
• Media and camera. The App requests permission to access your camera and photo/media library so you can take or select photos and videos for your posts and recipes. We only access media you choose to upload.
• Location. With your permission, we use your approximate or precise device location to show nearby restaurants and location-relevant content, and to tag posts if you choose to. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings.
• Usage and device information. We may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, app version, and interactions within the App (e.g. posts you view, search terms, and saved recipes) to keep the App functioning, personalise your feed, and improve it.
• Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we collect a device token so we can send you alerts about likes, comments, follows, and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• Payment information. If you purchase optional features (such as a premium subscription or promoting a post or restaurant listing), payment is processed through our payment provider. We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• Publish and display the posts, recipes, reviews, and ratings you create.
• Personalise your feed and show you relevant recipes, restaurants, search results, and saved items.
• Enable social features such as following, commenting, liking, and sharing.
• Send notifications about activity on your content and updates to the App.
• Process payments for optional premium or promotional features.
• Communicate with you about your account, content, or support requests.
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Publicly displayed content. Posts, recipes, photos, videos, comments, ratings, your username and profile photo, and any location or restaurant you tag are visible to other users of the App. Business profiles and their contact details are also publicly visible.
• Service providers. With trusted third parties who help us operate the App (e.g. hosting, media storage, analytics, push notifications, and payment processing), bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure access controls. Access tokens are used to keep your session secure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Please note that content you shared publicly, such as comments on other users’ posts, may remain visible after deletion in a de-identified form.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update your personal information.
• Request deletion of your account and data.

• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
